 h\, and Zion’s begins the observance with a Pride worship service at 10 
 a.m. on Sunday\, June 7\, which will be followed by our First Sunday Potlu
 ck and special Pride celebration. This event allows us to reflect upon how
  far we have come in difficult times while reminding ourselves that we nee
 d to keep moving toward the goal of true inclusion. As a Reconciling in Ch
 rist faith community\, we are the living embodiment of hope for LGBTQIA+ f
 ull inclusion and equity.\nWe are living in a time when our society is les
 s affirming and inclusive of those who are marginalized. As such\, we are 
 called to respond with intention\, faith\, and love. When we work together
  for justice then both communities and their people are stronger. This Pri
 de season\, we step forward — as allies\, collaborators\, and co-conspir
 ators in the Gospel — to boldly proclaim God’s inclusive love for all.
  The RIC Pride month theme invites us into a fuller\, more faithful expres
 sion of resistance — one that is grounded not only in action\, but also 
 in spirit:\n\n\n\nLament for the harm and injustice that persist\nFoundati
 on in the enduring truth of God’s expansive love\nJoy that celebrates th
 e beauty and gifts of LGBTQIA+ lives\nCourage to continue showing up\, spe
 aking out\, and building a more just church and world\n\n\n\nWe need all o
 f these elements in our lives and in our worship. Together\, they shape a 
 resistance that is not only responsive\, but also is deeply rooted\, life-
 giving\, and transformative.
