Welcome to Our Worship: The psalmist calls on the natural world, celestial bodies, fire and earth, creatures, and all humanity, to praise God. The voices of Simeon and 84-year-old Anna join the chorus today, recognizing what God is doing in Jesus. Simeon’s song is often sung after communion, for we have seen God’s salvation in the assembled community and have held Jesus in our hands in the bread. Then, like the prophet Anna, we tell of Jesus to all who look for the healing of the world.
Worship and Communion: We give thanks for your presence today; through the gift of being present, we can breathe in the Holy Spirit's invitation to connect and learn, as we answer Jesus' call to justice and action, to share the gift of peace with those who need it most. If you are visiting or new to our faith family, please fill out the yellow guest card and put it in the offering plate so we may have a record of your presence today. Come back and worship with us each Sunday at 10 a.m. The Sacrament of Holy Communion is offered to all worshiping today. You may come forward for the sacraments or cross your arms in front of you for a blessing.
Fellowship: Please join us after worship today in the Fellowship Hall for coffee, snacks, and conversation.
