Good Tuesday morning to you all! Praying that you are not just working hard but having some time to be simply grateful and enjoying our beautiful corner of the world and the people in it! The Thanksgiving plans are rolling out nicely---thank you again to everyone who is participating in Zion's great Thanksgiving Feast and blessing our community with food and love!
Here is a blessing prayer for not only Thanksgiving Thursday but every day:
Dear God, Thank you for your amazing power and work in our lives, thank you for your goodness and for your blessings over us. Thank you for your great love and care. Thank you for your sacrifice so that we might have freedom and life. Forgive us for when we don't thank you enough, for who you are, for all that you do, for all that you've given. Help us to set our eyes and our hearts on you afresh. Renew our spirits, fill us with your peace and joy. We love you and we need you, this day and every day. We give you praise and thanks, for You alone are worthy! In Jesus' Name, Amen.

We begin the church year again this coming Sunday as we gather for the 1st Sunday of Advent, telling the story of Jesus’ first coming to the world in the light of promises for his final coming. This year we will gather around scriptures, songs and images that tell the story of Jesus though the lens of "The Inn: Housing the Holy." This special worship series would be a wonderful time to invite friends, neighbors and strangers to gather with us at Zion's. Did you know most people respond positively to an invitation? Especially at this time of the year. Zion's facebook page has the trailer and we'll have it up on the website too---tell people to COME and SEE all that God is doing! The worship team is excited to bring this series to Trinidad! Happy Thanksgiving everyone and Advent Blessings too!
Love in Christ, Pastor Andrea

1. As a result of our focus on LFSRM's work in relocating Afghan families in Colorado Springs, Zion's is considering co-sponsoring/supporting an Afghan family. I (Pastor Andrea) am in contact with the Colorado Spring office and will be sharing more details as we discern the need and our abilities and desires. Stay tuned but please pray for all those who have been evacuated and are being relocated. It never is easy!
